Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: your name and email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash) if you register with email. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password and we do not read your Gmail, Drive or any other Google data.
• Your scripts and settings: the scripts you save and your prompter settings, so they follow you between devices.
• Subscription records: if you subscribe to Pro, PayPal tells us your subscription status and billing dates. We never see or store your card or bank details; PayPal handles payment.
• Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and time) kept by our hosting providers for security and to keep the service running.

Camera, microphone and video

The prompter listens to your microphone so the script can follow your voice. Speech recognition is done by your browser, and depending on your browser and device the browser vendor (for example Apple or Google) may process the audio on its servers under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your audio. When you pair your iPad camera with a computer, the video travels directly between your own devices. Our pairing server only helps the two devices find each other and does not carry or record your video.

Who we share data with

We use these services to run Teleprompter, and share only what each needs:

• Vercel (website hosting) and Cloudflare (pairing server and DNS)
• Neon (database for accounts and scripts)
• Resend (sending sign-up and password-reset emails)
• Google (optional "Sign in with Google")
• PayPal (subscription payments)

We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your scripts at any time. To delete your account and the data tied to it, or to ask what we hold about you, email us at the address below. Cancelling a subscription is done from your Account page or in PayPal.
